What is the connection between medical devices and real estate? While you think about that for a few moments, I’ll share the connection from my points of view.
Improving the quality of life.
From a medical device perspective, improving the quality of life should be the purpose and intent of the product. Someone is ailing from some condition or issue that requires some sort of procedure or treatment. Often times in these circumstances, medical devices are involved to help improve the quality of the person’s life.
I had some formative experiences very early in my medical device career where the importance of what I do in this industry truly does have an impact on humanity. And it feels good–feels great–to know that the medical devices I have contributed to are making a real difference in people’s lives. For me, the feelings, emotions, and purpose tied to these experiences continues to be contagious, almost addicting. Those who know me have likely heard me say that because of this, I fully expect to be part of the medical device industry for the rest of my career.
Where does real estate fit into this equation?
A few years ago, my fiancee ventured into the world of residential real estate. As I observed her interactions with clients buying and selling homes, I saw something in her that I could relate to. She was improving the quality of life for her clients.
Have you ever purchased a home? If so, I bet this was an exciting experience and adventure. And in these current times, our homes are so important to our daily lives. Many of us have been predominantly homebound for many months now.
As I observed my fiancee’s experiences and observed her interactions with clients, I thought that real estate seemed very interesting and intriguing.
So much so, that I decided to also venture into this space to help people find homes of their dreams. Homes where they are comfy and cozy. Homes where they can raise their families. Homes that impact their quality of life.
Yes, the medical device journey still continues for me. Adding real estate to my journey is another way I can fill my cup too. While the real estate side of things is still very new to me, I am excited to learn and grow and excited to play a small part in helping people find homes that they love.
